The Whirlpool GSW9800P is an Energy Star compliant top loading washing machine with lots of features. It has an amazing 27 wash presents and the 3.2 cu/ ft capacity can handle loads of up to 15 pounds which is ample enough for most families.

The 27 wash presets include Permanent Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Soaking. There are six and spin speeds and four temperature levels and the water level can be set to any height.

Beside the three spin speeds, there are three levels of water temperature and a self adjusting water level mechanism. This ensures that you will always have the correct amount of water for a particular load of laundry. There are dispensers for fabric softener, detergent and bleach.

All of the settings are set with a rotary controls. There is also an indicator for the end of cycle and there are dispensers for bleach and fabric softener.

The Whirlpool GSW9800P is quiet in operation and relatively efficient in terms of electricity use. Although not as efficient as a front loader for water use, the water levels can be set to any height to minimize water usage.

The Whirlpool GSW9800P has a porcelain-coated steel tub. This type of tub is not as durable as a stainless steel tub as it can chip over time and rust. However, the Whirlpool GSW9800P is an economical model and porcelain coated steel tubs are standard for this price range.

This washing machine is only available in white and comes with a one year Parts and Labor warranty.

The Whirlpool GSW9800P is a very quiet washing machine. Anyone who is primarily concerned with noise from the laundry room will do well with this washing machine. As a mid-priced model, the Whirlpool GSW9800P is one of the best value for money washing machines on the market. The numerous presets are suitable for almost any type of laundry and the washing machine does an excellent job in cleaning the clothes. It is well-built and is sure to give years of reliable service.
