The Avanti W700M is a compact washing machine. It can be stored away when not in use thanks to the side handles and wheels. It can also be permanently installed. It does an adequate job in cleaning clothes but lacks some of the bells and whistles that are found on more expensive machines.

There are six presets on the Avanti W700M. This is more than you usually find in this price range and more than adequate for the average family. There are also three temperature levels and three water levels.

The mechanical controls on the Avanti W700M are clearly labeled and easy to use. This washing machine comes with standard dispensers for fabric softener and bleach.

The Avanti W700M is an energy efficient washing machine that is easy on both water and electricity. However, the energy savings will only be realized if used for a small family. Larger families will be running this machine more often, so a larger capacity washer is more suitable for families of more than 4 people.

The W700M is fairly quiet during operation and is not as tricky to install as a frontloading machine as it seems to be more tolerant to slightly off-level installation. It has a stainless steel tub and is only available in white. It is a stylish machine and comes with a one year Parts and Labor warranty.

In Use

The Avanti W700M is a quiet washing machine that is easy on electricity and water. It does a fairly good job when washing average loads of laundry, but is less than reliable for heavy loads. If there are too many clothes in the tub the results are less than optimal. The low cost of this machine is reflected in the smaller, less powerful less powerful motor which seems to strain with a full load. For this reason we do not recommend the Avanti W700M for large families or anyone who does heavy loads of laundry. For small families, it does an adequate job.
