Full Review
The Whirlpool WFW8300SW is an energy efficient front loading washing machine with lots of features. It can handle the laundry needs of most families with its 3.3 cu/ ft capacity. It does a great job washing even the dirtiest clothes and is gentle enough to keep your clothes and brand-new condition.
There are seven presets on the Whirlpool WFW8300SW. Although this is slightly less than other machines in its price range, the seven presets are more than adequate for the average family. The maximum spin speed of 1050 rpm ensures that your clothes will come out of the machine almost dry.
Beside the three spin speeds, there are three levels of water temperature and a self adjusting water level mechanism. This ensures that you will always have the correct amount of water for a particular load of laundry. There are dispensers for fabric softener, detergent and bleach.
All of the settings are controlled electronically. There are also indicators for the end of cycle and there is a delayed start timer for extra soaking. Anyone with small children will appreciate the childproof setting.
Front loading washing machines are usually a bit noisier than their counterparts, but the Whirlpool WFW8300SW is certainly within a reasonable noise level. Keep in mind that the washing machine must be accurately leveled in order to avoid vibration during the spin cycles.
The Whirlpool WFW8300SW has a stainless steel tub and is only available in white. It is a stylish machine comes with a one year Parts and Labor warranty.
In Use
The Whirlpool WFW8300SW is quiet during the wash cycle but the pomp makes quite a bit of noise and vibration. It is very energy efficient and uses a surprisingly little amount of water and detergent. If you are accustomed to using a top loading machine, you may put too much detergent into this washing machine. Never fear - the extra rinse cycle will remove the excess detergent. For a mid-priced washing machine, the WFW8300SW gives lots of value. The sturdy construction and stainless steel tubis sure to guarantee years at of reliable service. This washing machine is a good buy.
