The Whirlpool Duet GHW9400P is an extra-large front load washing machine which can handle loads of up to 22 pounds. Despite this power, this Whirlpool washing machine is energy efficient and features quiet operation.

There are a huge number of presets on the Whirlpool Duet GHW9400P. They include Delicates, Hand Wash, Sanitary, Wool and Soaking. Extra settings include Quick Wash, Heavy Duty, and Extra Rinsing as well as having a pause option. This last setting allows you to stop the wash cycle at any point for special treatment.

The Whirlpool Duet GHW9400P washing machine has a maximum spin speed of 1200 rpm and there are five settings for spin speed. Delicate fabrics like wool can be lightly spinned so they don't lose their shape.

Water temperature can be set to one of five levels and the water levels are set automatically. All of the levels and presets are set with a rotary controls which are well laid out and easy to use. In addition to the dial controls, there is also an end of cycle signal and a delayed start timer.

The Whirlpool Duet GHW9400P is fairly quiet but there is vibration noise during the spin cycles. Despite all the presets, some combinations of wash settings cannot be selected at the same time. Those with particular washing needs may find this inconvenient, but the majority of users will find the presets to be adequate for everyday use.
