The LG WM2688H is an energy efficient front loading washing machine with lots of features. The 4 cu/ ft capacity is suitable for large loads and will satisfy the laundry needs of the largest families.

There are 9 presets on the LG WM2688H including permanent press, delicates, hand wash, wool, and soaking. These presets are suitable for almost any type of laundry load and can be further customized with 5 spin speeds ranging between 400 rpm and 1320 rpm. There are also five temperature levels and the water level is set automatically depending on the amount of laundry in the machine.

The presets and other settings are set with a rotary controls. There is a digital display which indicates the current status of the washing machine, and there is also a control for the delayed start timer. This is useful when presoaking the laundry for extra time. The WM2688H has standard dispensers for bleech and fabric softener.

The LG WM2688H is very easy on electricity and water use. It is an Energy Star compliant washing machine, and it will also save you electricity on your dryer because the spin cycle removes most of the moisture from the clothes.

For all their energy efficiency, frontloading washing machines are trickier to install and top loading machines. They must be installed perfectly level otherwise they will vibrate excessively during the spin cycle. The LG WM2688H is no different - but once it is installed properly it is a very quiet washing machine.

The LG WM2688H is an energy efficient front loading washing machine. It is quite an expensive machine but it is solidly built and has lots of features which make it a pleasure to operate. Besides the regular presets found on most washing machines, the LG WM2688H also has a steam cycle and a sanitary cycle. These are very handy features for handling extra soiled clothing such as diapers or hiking clothes. Its ability to handle large loads will be appreciated by any large family and it does a superb job of cleaning clothes. If you can afford it, go for it! You are sure to get years of satisfaction from this washing machine.

Not a bad machine, Sunday, 15 June 2008 Written by Anders Convenience Performance Reliablity I bought this model about a year ago and it's performing well. Nothing spectacular, but it seems to be a reliable machine that gets my clothes clean. What more can you want? Was this review helpful to you?
