Full Review
The Bosch WFMC4301 is an energy and water efficient front load washing machine with a large 3.81
cu/ ft capacity.
It is part of the Bosch Nexxt DLX series which are backed by the Good
Housekeeping Seal of Approval. What does this mean? According to the
Good Housekeeping
Seal website, "The Good Housekeeping Seal is an emblem of the magazine's
Consumer Policy, which promises a refund or replacement for defective products
within two-years of purchase."
All of Bosch washing machines have this seal, which speaks of the quality of
these machines. The current offering of Bosch washers, in fact, share a number
of similarities, so they have obviously been engineered with the same core
features, with various models offering different features.
For example, they all have a large 3.81 cubic foot capacity, making Bosch
washing machines suitable for large families. They are also energy and water
savers, with the Nexxt series boasting to be the most efficient washing machines
on the market.
The Bosch WFMC4301 has all these features, and is also very quiet thanks to
the Bosch system of brushless motors and suspended pump systems. We found the
Bosch WFMC4301 one of the quietest washing machines we've tested.
The Bosch WFMC4301 offers advanced cleaning technology that
continuously monitors the laundry load for determining weight, balance,
temperature, and water levels. This translates into worry-free clothes washing
that can literally be "set and forget."
There are an ample 15 presets on the Bosch WFMC4301 including Delicates, Hand Wash,
and XXTRASANITARY™. This last setting is an innovative cycle which uses a
thermostat-controlled, intelligent sensor to heat up the water to 170º F and
maintains the temperature for exactly 3 minutes. After killing 99.9% of most
common household bacteria, the water temperature is reduced to a gentler 150º F
to prevent clothing breakdown. The clothes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
with no damage to fibers.
The Bosch WFMC4301 washing machine has a maximum spin speed of 1100 rpm. This
removes almost all excess moisture from the clothes so they require less drying
time.
The Bosch WFMC4301 is stylishly designed and comes with a two year Parts and Labor
warranty.
In Use
We thoroughly enjoyed testing the Bosch WFMC4301. Its ample capacity handled
our extra-large loads and the electronic sensors accurately detected the types
of fabrics being washed. Thanks to the high spin speed, the clothes come out
almost dry, and the special Sanitary cycle is a bonus for anyone who has
sensitive skin or suffers from allergies. And the WFMC4301 is quiet! This is one
of the quietest machines we've used, and this gives you more possibilities for
installation locations. Even the spin cycle, normally a problem with
front-loaders, was quieter than most other machines we've tested. This washing
machine is a bit on the pricy side, but you certainly get value for money.
